The U.S. government shutdown, partially grinding the government to a halt began, because Democratic party representatives are in total opposition to completion of the U.S. -- Mexico Boarder Wall; and comprehensive immigration regulation with Boarder Security.
Nancy Pelosi was sworn in as the Democratic House Speaker on January 03, 2019 (Day 13 of the U.S. Government Shutdown). Further, the House Speaker, went public insisting that the first order of business as Speaker was to end the U.S. Government Shutdown! However, this Speaker on the 116 day of Congress, also seen publicly clashing with U.S. President Donald J. Trump (the 45th. President, Democratically elected by Americans coat to coast).
President Trump is admired, liked and respected nationally & internationally! One off, President Trump's agenda is to maintain law and order by re-introducing legal immigration via: tabulation, recording, monitoring and sensible relocation with path to citizenship for migrants. One method of achieving this agenda is to "Compete" the unfinished U.S. -- Mexico Boarder Wall, hence ensuring the numbers entering and leaving the U.S. are accurate. This President recently, repeatedly said, that he will drop his original request of $15B. for completion of this Boarder Wall to "$5.6B." The American public is rather enthusiastic to have the U.S. -- Mexico Boarder Wall completed in support of U.S. Boarder Security! So much so, that Americans are pledging their own money on a couple different "Go Fund Me Pages" making personal sacrifices to see order in their home country. Americans are very patriotic, don't mess with their livelihoods or country -- they will pick up arms to protect their 2nd. amendment rights!
"The Second Amendment of the United States Constitution reads: "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." Such language has created considerable debate regarding the Amendment's intended scope."

During this government shutdown, America likely has the most armed citizens in any country globally and they're all pitching in, cutting their own rations, and working without pay to support this President's goals in support of their homeland security.
Now, exactly how does Speaker Pelosi intend to sail this ship home, and manage to prevent crashing into an iceberg? To date, Speaker Pelosi continue negotiating to re-introduce Bills in the House of Representatives that have previously been vetoed by President Trump!
Quite sure, Speaker Pelosi understands that her re-introductory Bill is totally partisan, and if there are no specification that addresses funding for the U.S. -- Mexico Boarder Wall; it is futile.
Wouldn't you agree this is rather redundant not to mention a grand waste of time and resources? Why promise to reopen the government if you alone along with Democrats in the House of Representatives have no power to do so on a partisan basis?
