CBC News (Canadian media), release today reveals, as vigilant as the Canadian immigration system is in preventing and managing illegal immigration; they do discover Human Smugglers/Traffickers from time to time.
Reportedly, Ontario, Canada, Provincial Police (OPP), Barrie, Ontario, Police Services and Canada Boarder Services Agency worked diligently to free 43 Mexican labourers from servitude due to false promises and inhumane conditions. CBC further reports, that the Mexican workers have since received medical assistance and placed in legitimate working environments.
Democrats are breaking national and international laws by refusing to ratify a bipartisan agreement that will allow funds for completing the U.S. - Mexican Boarder Wall, secure a path to citizenship for DACA kids/Dreamers (Differed Action For Childhood Arrivals) and manage the illegal migrant population in America!
Migrant workers will be far more productive if they do not bare the burden of abuse in America while trying to live the fleeting American dream..
Despite GMC Strongly Urging Unifor President Not To Run The Super Bowl Ad!
Unifor, President Jerry Dias took $5.5M. of union dues; monies belonging to GM Canada employees and paid for a 30 seconds advertisement at the Super Bowl (Feb. 03, 2019).
The Super Bowl Ad contains inaccuracies claiming GMC were given "Bailout Monies;" implying there were no repayment terms and conditions. GMC received bailout assistance from the government of Canada, based on a contractual agreement stipulating terms and conditions for repayment; essentially no different from a bank loan. The word "Given" implies the ""Bailout Monies" have not been repaid, when in fact it was repaid in its entirety.
Further, the Super Bowl Ad claims that after GMC Oshawa Plant closure, workers will be left in the cold; implying neglect. This is also inaccurate, because GMC reached an agreement with government of Canada representatives to maintain accountability; by accommodating GMC workers in their moment of despair. Meaning, that before the Oshawa Plant closure, GM Canada will; assist workers with transitioning to other employers, relocating where possible, keep as many workers as possible, pay for re-training, honor workers pension agreement, etc. This transition process has already begun!
There are no laws whereby Dias can legally force/threaten GMC to remain in Canada and the smear campaign against GM will actually hurt workers and economic prosperity long term!
However, Dias has done the math., meaning this situation is a "win-win" for him and the Unifor brand name! He spends no out of pocket monies (GM workers money), essentially getting free international publicity.. If GMC is rattled, guess what he remains in the spotlight hence more free publicity at a phenomenal cost to GM and their employees. So, if GMC attacks he will hit up a couple legal hounds to fight back; again at no cost to him. Dias will continue to pay all company (Unifor) and personal expenses with GMC workers union dues! In the end, or by the time September, 2019, comes around Dias will claim bankruptcy or lack of funds; hence no monies for GM workers who have believed in this manipulative piece of G--b--e (you fill in the blanks).

GM has the advantage against Unifor president -- Mr. dias need to pull his Superbowl advertisement in compliance with GM's request. Every hour this advertisement is in public viewing; increases liability for lack of compliance. No one wants to see GM crumble; what the public want is to keep GM accountable to their workers! True enough we buy more GM cars, because they have impeccable standards when it comes to quality. As well most families own approximately a dozen vehicles in Canada, because everyone drives more than one vehicle at times!
I drive GM and doubtful that will ever change..such is the standards of reliability and affordability set by GM Canada!

President Trump Accepts Deal For Temporary End To U.S. Government Shutdown (BBC News-video)

Feud
between the Democrats and Republicans intensified over a campaign
promise President Trump made to Americans in 2016, for completion of
the U.S. – Mexico Boarder Wall to improve and manage legal
migration. On December 22nd., 2018, Democrats refusing to
entertain funding for this Boarder Wall, led to a partial U.S.
government shutdown.
To
be clear a Boarder Wall does not prevent asylum seekers from entering the
U.S., neither does it segregate and shutdown Boarder activities,
nor does it prevent legal migration!
Compromise
after compromise with the newly voted in Democratic House Speaker
Nancy Pelosi, met with frigid antagonism. Madame Pelosi, flatly and
most adamantly heard saying no funding for completion of the U.S. –
Mexico Boarder Wall. This Boarder Wall deemed necessary, as part and
parcel of comprehensive immigration; expansion, maintenance and
control of the flow of traffic and illicit substances into and out of
America!
One
look at the situation, and it becomes clear Democrats are not
concerned about thousands of DACA/Dreamers in America. Daca
recipients (2012), has constantly been promised a path to residency
status; only to discover all they are to Democrats is a political
bargaining chip.
Further,
Democrats claim a Boarder Wall will prevent asylum seekers from
entering the U.S. they also claim it is racist because the Boarder
Wall will stop immigrants from entering the U.S. Nevertheless,
President Trump asked Democrats and Madame Pelosi to negotiate a
workable compromise that will possibly lead to mending the problem of
thousands, if not millions of undocumented immigrants in the U.S.
Pelosi would only commit to partial Boarder security including
personnel and technology driven protection. President Trump, went
further to also offer extended protection for Dreamers (app. 700,000)
and temporary protection status for approximately 300,000, migrants
facing imminent removal from the U.S. All this in an attempt to reach
a compromise that will see Boarder Wall funding and end the
government shutdown. Democrats along with Madame Pelosi turned down
the offer; never even attempting a counter offer to protect Daca kids
or migrants!

Democrats have made it abundantly clear the faith of migrants in the
U.S. does not concern their administration!
Okay
--- what does Pelosi Democrats care about? The media began featuring
real life stories and tragedies facing 800,000 federal government
workers from all ethnicity! This, as the 2nd., pay period
was quickly approaching; scheduled for January 25, 2019. Also
scheduled were 2 Bills, to be voted on that will possibly end the
partial U.S. government shutdown; one Bill from Republicans also
providing for the Boarder Wall funding the other flat out refusal to
consider any funding. A reflection of partisan negotiation, hence
both Bills a waste of time and government resources – As the hours
passed, on January 25th., 2019, public coverage of the
nations plight continued to go viral, some folks scrambling to figure
out how they will survive another pay period; with no income!
Pelosi
remained insensitive – she showed no signs of budging; nothing
could get her to the negotiating table. Compromise what compromise;
who me.. never? And she meant every word, her iron clad fist will not
move! Likely, in this lifetime some of us will experience such
negativity, folks who enjoys swinging the pendulum; just because it
gives them intense pleasure to cause pain. It matters not who is
right or wrong, ethics don't factor in, and neither does
accountability; all that matters is their feelings of self-made
perpetuated satisfaction!
Given
the odds! Guess who budged? In the, 2 years President Trump has been
in office main stream media painted an image of the 45th.,
President of the U.S. as grossly uncaring, self-indulging, immature
and many other immoral/illicit adjectives they can conjure up!
Nothing could be further from the truth and on January 25th.,
2019, President Trump said to Democrats – when every attempted
resolution failed – The President said, Okay, you promise to fund
the Boarder Wall through sensible negotiations if I end the
government shutdown – I will end the shutdown, fund government
workers back salaries and give you 3 weeks to prove your intentions
are honorable. Immediately on January 25th., the President
signed the Bill to end the government shutdown ...now its up to
Pelosi Democrats to prove the shutdown was never needed, because they
are listening to Americans and will find middle ground for bipartisan
interventions. Hence, funding the Boarder Wall completion among other
things..
